7 days - Lakeside Stay and Aurora Cabins in Finland

Enjoy a magical visit at the beautiful Kurula's Resort with its picturesque views over a frozen lake and snow covered fells. Accommodation is in private premium suites with north-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, ideal for viewing the Northern Lights, if lucky, from the comfort of your suite as they dance before you across the private lake. Each evening, unwind in your own suite with sauna, open plan living area and kitchen.

Then transfer across to the Aurora Village, our travellers favourite. Stay for five nights in an aurora cabin, set alone in the woods - you can gaze up at the Arctic stars and hopefully the Northern Lights will dance above you.

Spend seven unforgettable days participating in all the fun activities this region has to offer. Included in your stay is a Northern Lights Hunt by Car, Husky Safari, Feeding and photographs with the reindeer, Snowmobiling and Ice Climbing plus more.

This prestigious eco-label represents a commitment by businesses that their premises adhere to the strict criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education. Some examples of how they carry this out include offering recycling facilities in all cabins and no longer offering plastic bottles in accommodations, along with protecting the diversity of the surrounding nature, i.e., bird house and insect hotels. Meet your guide this morning and walk together (or toboggan slide) to the Reindeer island. Your reindeer sleigh is awaiting and will take you on a peaceful winter adventure in a traditional ‘raito’ where the reindeer walk one after another each pulling a sleigh.

Sit back and enjoy the 800m sleigh ride through the snowy forest. Coffee is served by campfire in front of a traditional Laavu-shelter at the finishing point.

Afterwards, get a nice bag of lichen to feed to the reindeer. They come close and with a little patience they will eat from your hand. This is a good time to take close-up photos with reindeer too.
