Day 2 - Private walking tour of Copenhagen
Copenhagen has over the years become famous for its manifesto of New Nordic Cuisine. The city boasts 18 Michelin stars divided over 15 restaurants, and is home to the world's best restaurant, noma. The city is also abundant in everything from small cosy pub style eateries, cafes with great coffee and establishments serving world class local beer.
Copenhagen is a wonderful summer city with numerous city squares and patios where restaurants open up to the street. The city centre is pedestrian and bicycle friendly, which creates a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere.
Begin your tour of Copenhagen with a sit-down with your guide, who will provide you with some perspective on the city from a local, including recommendations for what to do and where you to eat, and information on navigating the Danish capital. You'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your stay.
Then enjoy a private walking tour through the charming streets of Copenhagen's Old Town. Explore the grounds of Christiansborg, the hidden gardens of the Royal Library and picturesque Nyhavn. At the Royal residence of Amalienborg, see the uniformed guards and the dome of the impressive Marble Church and hear about King Frederik and the Royal family, one of the oldest monarchies in the world. Throughout the tour, your guide will share captivating stories of the city’s rich history, and offer insights into Danish cuisine, language, and culture.
With your 48–hour Copenhagen card, you can then explore on your own by taking a canal tour, visiting the royal museum or you can go shopping for Scandinavian designs. Don't forget to stop for coffee and some lovely Danish bread/pastry from one of the many delicious bakeries.

Drive to Roskilde (30 kilometres), not only home to the biggest festival in Denmark (Roskilde Festival) but also to the Viking Ship Museum. The Viking Ship Museum is located in the Roskilde Fjord and contains five reconstructed Viking longboats, built from salvaged wrecks from the Fjord itself.
Your accommodation this evening is a historic manor house, surrounded by a moat and lots of forest. Relax in the cozy living rooms, rent a bike or take a walk in the beautiful park.
