Private transfer from Keflavik International Airport to your hotel where you will meet our local guide. He will give you the best tips on what to do and see in Reykjavik and Iceland. After settling in, the afternoon and evening is yours to explore the compact & vibrant city centre with its abundance of museums, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. If you're interested in checking out Icelandic design or experiencing the city's thriving coffee culture, head to the main street, Laugavegur, and enjoy its various shops and cosy cafes. Be sure to check out the Harpa Opera House on the harbour.
We also suggest a visit to the Aurora Reykjavik Museum in the heart of downtown. It is Iceland's first educational and recreational Northern Lights Centre where multimedia is used to explain when, why and how the Northern Lights work, with the highlights being large HD projection of the Auroras.
The Golden Circle, Iceland’s most popular route, combines natural wonders and rich history. It begins at Þingvellir National Park, where Iceland’s parliament was founded in 930 A.D., and visitors can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. A short hike leads to Öxarárfoss waterfall.
Next, stop at Efstidalur dairy farm for organic homemade ice cream and views of Mount Hekla, with opportunities to interact with Icelandic cows, horses, and dogs. Continue to the Geysir geothermal area to see Strokkur erupt, followed by the majestic Gullfoss waterfall.
There will be a stop at Friðheimar tomato farm where you can purchase lunch before visiting Kerið Crater Lake, a 3,000-year-old volcanic caldera. This small-group tour highlights Iceland’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Discover the dramatic landscapes of Iceland's South Coast on a full-day excursion from Reykjavík. Travel along the historic Viking Trail through fertile farmlands to a region of glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls and black sand beaches.
Visit the iconic waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, explore the striking Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach near Vík, and admire the impressive Sólheimajökull Glacier. If conditions allow, walk behind Seljalandsfoss and visit the nearby hidden waterfall of Gljúfrabúi. This journey showcases some of Iceland's most spectacular scenery and natural wonders.

This morning, your private transfer will take you to the domestic airport where you'll board a 60 minute flight to the beautiful town of Akureyri.
Often referred to as the "capital" of the north, Akureyri is by far the largest town in the north of Iceland and it's the second largest urban area in Iceland with a population little less than 20,000. Located only 60 kilometres from the Arctic circle, the mountains in the area are often capped with snow year round.
You will be picked up at Akureyri Airport and transferred to your comfortable hotel right in the town's centre where you will spend the next two nights.
Today you will be entering the other worldly landscapes of Lake Mývatn, where the scenes for "North of the Wall" were filmed. You will be picked up at your hotel at 9am and then have a full day of touring this area.
The Lake Mývatn area is considered by many to be the most beautiful and, at the same time, the most catastrophic place in Iceland. Discover the magical wonderland of Lake Mývatn with an experienced local tour guide including all the top attractions. This tour is unique in that you also visit the amazing Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe featured in films such as Prometheus. Game of Thrones filming locations including Höfði where the North of the wall was filmed and Star Wars filming location are also visited.
You will stop along the way for lunch (not included) and we recommend bringing good walking shoes, water bottle and weather appropriate clothing.
This morning, enjoy a private transfer to the airport for your flight back to Reykjavik. After landing, transfer to the Blue Lagoon for a therapeutic afternoon and evening in the healing waters. Stay overnight at the Northern Light Inn, which is just a stone's throw from the international airport.
