    Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Stockholm and enjoy the ambiance of this buzzing city

Arrive in Stockholm and make your way to your centrally located hotel.

Sweden's capital is charming, vibrant and surrounded by beauty and water - hence its nickname, Venice of the North! Stockholm offers interesting museums and castles; the city offers a warm atmosphere and the old town has charming small alleyways boasting several famous restaurants.

On one of your afternoons here, be sure to make time for a visit to the ABBA museum with great interactive exhibits - a glass of champagne (for Dutch courage to get on stage & the pure fun of it) to accompany your tour is recommended! On the other hand, take the serious option & visit the Nobel Prize museum in the Old town.

Day 2 - Guided Tour of the Old Town and Vasa Museum before exploring further with your Stockholm City Card

After breakfast, enjoy a fantastic day in the Swedish capital with a private guide. Start by exploring the old town of Gamla Stan and see where Stockholm began, the first buildings dating to around 1200. Explore the narrow alleys and streets with cobbled stones, discover interesting historical sites, and learn the story of how the city of Stockholm was founded and how we live today.  We'll then make our way down to the Baltic side and catch a ferry boat to the island of Djurgården, where we'll take a tour of the Vasa Museum, which houses the Vasa ship.

After sinking on her maiden voyage after 20 minutes at sea, the Vasa lay underwater for 333 years until marine expert and amateur archaeologist Anders Franzén found her. The ship is now on display at the museum, restored with 98 percent of her original pieces. Finish the tour with a trip on the local tram back to Kungsträdgården, passing by the poshest street of Stockholm, Strandvägen.

In the late afternoon, stroll the shopping districts or perhaps add an optional rooftop tour.
