Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Stockholm and private transfer to your hotel then 'meet and greet' with local guide
Arrive in Stockholm and transfer with private vehicle and English speaking driver to your centrally located hotel.
Sweden's capital is charming, vibrant and surrounded by beauty and water - hence its nickname, Venice of the North! Stockholm offers interesting museums and castles; the city offers a warm atmosphere and the old town has charming small alleyways boasting several famous restaurants. On arrival, you will be met by a local guide who will spend an hour with you briefing you on the local area and what you can do.
On one of your afternoons here, be sure to make time for a visit to the ABBA museum with great interactive exhibits - a glass of champagne (for Dutch courage to get on stage & the pure fun of it) to accompany your tour is recommended! On the other hand, take the serious option & visit the Nobel Prize museum in the Old town.

Day 2 - Discover Stockholm with a private guide
Stockholm, a captivating city spread across 14 islands connected by 57 bridges, offers a unique blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. Experience this vibrant metropolis with a private guide as you explore its diverse islands and distinct neighborhoods. Begin your tour with a visit to the Royal Palace, the official residence of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, followed by a stop at Stockholm Cathedral. This historic Lutheran church, founded before the 1200s, is notable for hosting the royal weddings of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia in 1976, as well as Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in 2010.
Next, enjoy a visit to one of Stockholm’s public beaches, a favorite gathering spot for locals on sunny days, before heading to the iconic City Hall. This landmark, built in the National Romantic style and officially opened in 1923, serves as the administrative heart of the city and hosts the prestigious annual Nobel Prize banquet. Conclude your tour at one of Stockholm's lively food markets, where you can indulge in a variety of local delicacies, including fresh bread, sweets, snacks, and beverages.
In the late afternoon, stroll the shopping districts or perhaps add an optional rooftop tour.

Day 3 - Sail the Stockholm Archipelago on board a luxury yacht.
Private transfer to Vaxholm. Meet your captain at the harbour in the pretty coastal town, on the edge of the Stockholm Archipelago. Once on board, you receive a safety briefing and then set off on your adventure! You sail through narrow straits lined with beautiful Scandinavian architecture, an eclectic mix of 19th-century homes and modern luxury villas, before crossing larger bays to reach more wild and uninhabited islands.
As you cruise through the maze of islands and skerries, you soon understand how legends have emerged about the islands’ fairies and elves, and why parts of the archipelago are nominated for UNESCO World Heritage and National Park status.
The wildlife, rugged scenery and serenity of the archipelago will blow you away! It really is a very special place, and there’s no better way to enjoy it than on a luxury yacht. Some of the islands are big enough to house a village, some just a single homestead and others so small they have room for only one tree on them! There are towering cliffs, narrow passageways, plenty of forest and wildlife in abundance!
The wildlife and nature are astonishing! Moose, roe deer, fallow deer, and red foxes live on the larger islands, and during the summer months, they swim between them. White-tailed/sea eagles, Canadian geese, eider, loons, arctic terns, ospreys, great cormorants, and other migratory birds can be seen all summer out in the archipelago. You may even get lucky and see grey seals out fishing in the waters!
For lunch, you pick the sunniest, most picturesque island to stop, and whilst taking a break you can explore ashore, search for wildlife, go for a swim and enjoy a delicious freshly prepared meal.
Should you wish, the captain can show you how to man the yacht and let you sail some of the way under his careful supervision.
There is no set route for this tour; it is the wind and your whim that decide!
