Copenhagen has become one of the world's gourmet capitals, offering everything from cosy pub-style eateries and cafes with great coffee to world-class local beer and Michelin-starred restaurants. The city is a delightful summer destination with numerous squares and patios where restaurants open up to the street. The pedestrian and bicycle-friendly city centre creates a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. At the small harbour inlet of Nyhavn, you can enjoy a meal at one of the harbour-side restaurants or buy a cold beer from a local shop and relax by the water. Don't miss climbing the tower of the Church of Our Savior for an aerial view of the city, though the spiral stairs on the outside are not for the faint-hearted!
This morning, meet your guide for a private tour of Copenhagen. In the afternoon, you can opt for a private culinary tour or a relaxing hot tub experience on the canal.
After breakfast, pick up rental car and head south for a two-hour drive to Egn Boutique Hotel. Along the way, stop at Camp Adventure and visit the 45 metre Forest tower. The South Zealand nature and the magnificent views from the top of the Forest Tower high above the crowns of the trees is worth the walk.
After a local lunch, head to Egn Boutique Hotel. This hotel seamlessly blends luxury and tranquility amidst Møn’s breathtaking natural beauty. Indulge in elegantly decorated rooms, gourmet dining by a former Michelin-starred chef, and exhilarating nature experiences just steps away. The popular Camønoen hiking and cycling route passes by the hotel, and the iconic Møns Klint is only a 15-minute drive away. Additionally, one of Møn’s most stunning south-facing white sand beaches is just 300 metres from the hotel.
After breakfast, if you haven't had time the day before, head out to explore Møns Klint with its stunning white chalk cliffs. Visit the GeoCenter Møns Klint, hike a section of the Camøno trail, or enjoy stargazing in the Dark Sky Park. Depending on your interests, activities include swimming, kayaking and cycling, while towns like Stege and the car-free island of Nyord offer cultural experiences and charming villages to discover.
Today is a leisurely drive via Roskilde to Dragsholm Slot (Castle) - all up a 2.5hr drive. Allow time to stop in Roskilde to visit the Roskilde Cathedral (a UNESCO site) and the Viking Ship Museum.
Continue on to Dragsholm Castle, a historic building in Zealand, Denmark, with a long and varied history as a palace, a fortress, a prison and a baroque castle. Renowned for its Nordic cuisine, this castle uses local ingredients like vegetables from Lammefjorden and wild herbs from the surrounding area.
In the afternoon enjoy a short herb walk and experience the natural riches and stunning landscape of the UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred. Nature guide Jørgen Stoltz, an expert in local flora, collaborates with head chef Jesper Foldager to transform these herbs into extraordinary dishes. Explore Dragsholm Castle’s forest, fields, and beach, where you can see and taste the herbs used in the castle kitchen.
The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the castle and its surroundings. This evening, enjoy a 3-course menu at Dragsholm Slot Bistro.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Bistro. Take a walk along the beach, enjoy the park, the bastion or experience the landscape that surrounds the castle by bike.
Included today is a wine tasting with the castle's sommelier. Taste three Danish and European wines from award winning vineyards. Later in the evening enjoy dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Dragsholm Castle Gourmet.
After a leisurely breakfast head back to Copenhagen, return your rental car at the Airport and travel onwards.
