Here are some insights to how the locals spend their warm summer days:

1 – Why not take a Copenhagen harbour bath

You can find open-air swimming right in the centre of the city at Islands Brygge Harbour Bath. There is also a lawn where you can work on your tan while reading a good book, have a lovely romantic picnic with yummy Danish treats or get active with some ball games.

2 – Enjoy the Copenhagen parks

If you are more of a beach person, head to Amager Beach Park. As an added bonus if you are keen “The Bridge” fan you will have an impressive view of Øresundsbroen (The bridge) connecting Denmark and Sweden and should you have an interest in sustainability you will have a spectacular view to a windmill park as well.

Love food? Nordic food? Then check out the food festival – Copenhagen Cooking and experience culinary Copenhagen & a taste of the Nordic region. There will be over a 100 unique events to choose from and the event will run for 10 days during the month of August.

For the music lovers, Copenhagen Jazz festival will take place in July 2017. The Copenhagen Jazz festival is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. The sweet sounds of Jazz will be heard in the streets, city squares and jazz clubs.

Have a rest, kiss or a dance at Copenhagen’s latest free public cultural venue, Ofelia Plads (square). Catch a concert, performance, exhibition or maybe a sports event. Then when you get peckish, jump on the harbour bus or take the new Inner Harbour Bridge directly to Copenhagen Street Food, where you will find an abundance of great street foods from all around the world.
