50 Degrees North is a Nordic travel specialist designing journeys across Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Svalbard and the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Founded in 2010 by Norwegian-born travel specialist Tietse Stelma and co-founder Jayde Kincaid, the company was created to offer a different way to explore the Nordic region. Rather than rushing travellers between famous highlights, their vision was to design authentic journeys shaped by local knowledge, seasonal rhythms and meaningful connections.

Today, 50 Degrees North operates internationally with offices in Norway, Melbourne, Minneapolis and Vancouver, supporting travellers from Australia, New Zealand and North America. Our team includes Nordic natives and regional experts who work closely with local partners across the region.

Our itineraries are carefully designed to balance iconic Nordic landscapes with quieter places and authentic experiences, creating journeys that feel immersive, well paced and deeply connected to the region.

Your booking security

When you book a journey with 50 Degrees North, your payments are held in a secure client trust account with a reputable bank, including U.S. Bank, National Australia Bank or DNB in Norway.

These funds remain protected and are only used to pay suppliers for your confirmed travel arrangements. Client funds are never used for day-to-day company operations before travel takes place.
