Norwegian Coastal Voyages
50 Degrees North is proud to be a Norwegian global tour operator for Hurtigruten and Havila. Experience the natural, unspoiled beauty of Norway's coastline with a range of different voyages, calling at over 30 ports as part of their support to the isolated Norwegian communities. This routes is traditionally known as the 'Kystruten Route', a government sponsored shipping route keeping local Norwegian traditions and communities alive.
Hurtigruten and Havila ships travel continuously from Bergen in the South West to Kirkenes in the far North, right on the Russian border. These ships visit ports, some of which are home to just a few hundred inhabitants, delivering freight and of course intrepid passengers to explore the coastal towns and surroundings.
The Norwegian Round Trip Cruise can be done year-round, but your experience will change with the seasons as it sets the rhythm of life for the locals. Winter or summer travel, from snow-capped mountains bathed in spectacular Northern Lights/ Aurora Borealis to a late evening sitting on the Kystruten deck in midnight sun.
For a look at the complete fleets travelling along the Kystruten Route, see the Hurtigruten Fleet here and see the Havila Fleet here.
