4 days - Long Weekend designed for active families in Oslo with local, sustainable excursions.

Be surprised by Oslo, an active family's city paradise. Wander through the Vigeland Sculpture Park, discover the Munch Museum and explore the hidden gems of Norway’s capital, Oslo. Discover the Akershus Fortress and the many harbour side restaurants along Aker Brygge.

Enjoy unique nature-inspired family activities in and around this small city. Activities can be modified for your children's ages - think ice climbing in the indoor SNØ centre, paddle boarding, boat tours and lying on the beach. Experience Island hopping, a sauna cruise and hike along the Lysaker river.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Oslo and transfer to your centrally located hotel

Arrive in Oslo, the beautiful Norwegian capital by the Oslofjord. Make your own way to your centrally located hotel in the heart of Oslo, an easy direct express train ride away from the airport. Your Meet and Greet service will be waiting at the hotel and provide you with information and suggestions for activities and dining. The Norwegian capital has a great deal to offer for the observant traveller. We can recommend a walk around the centre of town to view the Parliament, the Castle, and the Harbour area.

Day 2 - Discover Oslo Fjord with Island Hopping

After breakfast, head out to explore three distinct fjord islands: Bleikøya, a local's paradise with stunning city views; Lindøya, a picturesque village with colourful wooden cabins; and Hovedøya, home to historic ruins and cultural insights. Don't forget your swimsuit to take a refreshing dip in the Oslo fjord

Depending on the weather, is it time to hit the beach or a museum? The Viking and Kontiki museums are popular to visit for families or if you have teenagers, perhaps they would enjoy the thrill of ice climbing at the new SNO indoor ski centre.

This evening, we suggest a fjord sunset sailing trip or a 'engang grill' picnic in Frogner park.

Day 3 - Head out into the green oasis of Oslo and later experience a sauna cruise

This morning be ready to explore the waterfalls, rapids and rich birdlife along the beautiful Lysaker river. Norway is a land of waterfalls and some of them (small but powerfull) are located right here in Oslo.

In the afternoone experience a sauna that transforms into a boat, and which takes you out on the fjord at a leisurely pace. Enjoy the beautiful view while the sauna floats away and the stove crackles and steams. When a sauna becomes a boat, magic happens.
