Generally speaking, discounted fares are based on brochure fares, subject to availability at the time of booking, available on selected voyages, and for new reservations only. Hurtigruten operates a dynamic, flexible pricing system, so fares are confirmed at the time of booking. Discounted fares are limited and may sell out before the end of the stated booking period, are not combinable with any other offer, and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

What else should you budget for on a Hurtigruten voyage?

If you enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, be prepared for the cost, alcohol is treated as a luxury item in Norway and taxed heavily. Hurtigruten offers drink packages, which can be worthwhile if you're travelling as a couple, and sometimes includes a discounted 'Credit on Board' you can put toward your bar bill.

Only alcohol purchased on board may be consumed in the public areas of Hurtigruten ships.

Hurtigruten fare types

Hurtigruten uses a tiered fare structure across three levels, Basic, Select and Platinum, and what's included changes depending on which you book. Basic covers your cabin and full board in the main restaurant. Select adds cabin choice, WiFi and tea and coffee throughout the day. Platinum adds a drinks package with dinner, shore excursions, and further extras depending on the voyage.
