Västanå Castle

On the countryside, a few kilometers outside the village of Gränna you find Västanå Castle. The castle was originally built app. 1590 and turned into the first castle hotel in Sweden 1948. The von Otter family has owned the estate for 9 generations since 1785. Here you can enjoy beautiful surroundings, relaxing interiors, beautiful art, excellent food and good wines. All the rooms are individually decorated. Here you will find endless forests, lovely hiking paths as well as the typical red houses associated with the landscape of Småland.Västanå Manor is located 30 kilometres north of Jönkoping.

The castle offers a magnificent view of Lake Vättern and scenic surroundings. The castle is not only a well-preserved exterior. Much thought and effort have been devoted to the interior, where each spacious room has its own personality. There is plenty to discover in the historic features.
