Harriniva Hotel and Hotel Jeris

Harriniva Hotel and Hotel Jeris are located near Muonio, right on the Swedish/Finnish border. Offering several different accommodation options and lots of activities, these hotels are perfect for a visit any time of year. Christmas traditions are celebrated at both hotels. Both hotels offer cosy restaurants, welcoming staff (& the same owners) and fun activities to ensure a great stay in Finland.

Accommodation options at Hotel Harrinivia:

Harriniva Hotel has 64 comfortable safari style rooms (think cladded pine), all with private facilities. Some of the rooms also contain a sauna. All the hotel rooms are non-smoking. Some of them have cooking facilities, drying cupboards for clothes and a TV.

Accommodation options at Hotel Jeris:

Unique Lappish resort next to the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park directly by the beautiful Lake Jerisjärvi.

Hotel Jeris has 26 cozy wilderness style rooms all with private facilities and TV. Some of the rooms also contain a bathtub. All the hotel rooms are non-smoking.

The Jerisranta log cabins are located right by the hotel. These cabins are ideal for a couple or a family with 1-2 children. All cabins are equipped with a bedroom, lounge-kitchen with a sofabed, kitchenette, sauna, toilet, fireplace, clothes drying cupboard and TV.

The cosy Jeriskylä cabins for 4-6 persons (63 m2 and 70 m2) are ideal for a family or a group of friends who wish to experience a comfortable cabin holiday. Jeriskylä is beautifully situated in the natural surroundings, by the edge of the National Park and a walking distance to the Hotel Jeris (approx. 500m). All cabins are equipped with a loft, lounge-kitchenette, sauna, toilet, fireplace, cabinet dryer and TV. Smaller cabins have one bedroom, bigger cabins two bedrooms.

• Arctic Spa where you can warm up in an electrically heated sauna or test the real Lappish wood heated smoke sauna. For the really adventurous ones, there is a 25-metre illuminated ice pool, which is kept open throughout the winter.

Close by to Hotel Jeris is the Torassieppi Reindeer Farm and Cottages, located beside lake Torassieppijärvi. Torassieppi consists of cabin village, reindeer farm & museum, huskyfarm, Winter Village and Aurora Glamping. The original reindeer farm dates back to 1847.

Newly opened, the glamping option, Aurora Dome is a round igloo-shaped tent with husky and reindeer themed decoration and one transparent wall. The Domes are completely insulated and a fireplace with an open fire gives out both warmth and comforting ambiance.

The Domes are situated by the cabin village of Torassieppi on the bank of lake Torassieppi. The transparent walls of the Dome are facing north to insure the best possible view of the starlit sky and the ever elusive northern lights over the frozen lake.

Mod cons e.g. toilet, shower and sauna are within easy walking distance. The Domes have beds for two but can also accommodate two extra beds.

The Harriniva hotel has several wilderness cabins around the Western Lapland. Wilderness cabins are used for overnighting on several days’ safaries.
