Santa Lapland Holidays 2025
Spend December in Lapland and learn about our pre-Christmas holidays with Santa visits and White winter adventures. Having spent the days up to Christmas in Lapland, we can also arrange capital city Christmas packages with traditional Christmas buffets, pamper packages and local experiences. There is still availability on these pre-Christmas tours for 2025.
Many of our Christmas holidays are very popular, and we recommend getting in touch early to secure your preferred dates for next year.
Due to high demand, many of our Christmas tours fill up quickly for the 2025 December dates, so we encourage you to book early for Christmas 2025. We've also expanded our offerings to include pre-Christmas departures in December, right before the busy Christmas period. These tours feature a special Santa visit, which remains a magical experience for children. Santa can chat with the kids about their wishes and preparations for his upcoming journey. It’s also easier to arrange flights and activities before the main Christmas rush. After spending the lead-up to Christmas in Lapland, we can organise Christmas packages in capital cities, complete with traditional buffets, pampering packages, and local experiences.
Spending December and pre-Christmas in Finnish Lapland gives your family a chance to meet Santa at his secret hideaway, cross the Arctic Circle, and send postcards from Santa’s post office. On our Lapland tours, your family can enjoy a variety of snow activities: mini snowmobiles for children, medium-sized snowmobiles for older ones to experience more speed on a circuit, and four-wheeled forest scooters for everyone to try. Have fun with kick sledges, toboggan runs, ice golfing, snowshoes, and ice carting.
At 50 Degrees North, we specialise in Santa holidays that take you away from the crowds and offer unique, intimate family experiences. Your children can meet Santa in his forest hideaway, or we can even arrange for Santa to visit your hotel room or cabin for a truly private moment. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so it’s worth getting it right. Our Finnish tour specialists can also find accessible accommodation and experiences for families with children who have special needs.
To learn more and book one of our pre-Christmas tours, read this summary of what we can arrange for your family. These tours include all the region’s highlights, meeting Santa and his reindeer without the crowds. The only thing missing is the traditional Christmas buffet, which we can arrange for you at one of the post-tour city stays.
After your pre-Christmas tour, most flights return to Helsinki, Oslo, or Stockholm — perfect cities to spend Christmas with their beautiful Christmas lights, festive markets, and of course, traditional Christmas buffets.
Christmas across the Nordic region is celebrated from the late afternoon and evening of 24 December until midday on 25 December. On Christmas morning, you can enjoy outdoor activities like tobogganing in the Oslo mountains or ice skating in the heart of Helsinki or Stockholm. Many locals enjoy a late breakfast and a leisurely morning before heading outside to enjoy nature.
Our hotels and apartments will be full of Christmas cheer, featuring trees, festive music, and warm hospitality. Traditional Christmas buffets for the evening of 24 December can be booked at your hotel or at local restaurants, such as Restaurant Savotta in central Helsinki. Afterwards, join Christmas Mass at one of the cities' Cathedrals.
Pamper packages are also available at many of our hotels, offering spa treatments for the whole family. Alternatively, you can join locals in celebrating Christmas morning at Löyly Sauna, located by the sea in Helsinki.
Make the lyrics of Jingle Bells ring true this year—imagine your family dashing through the snow on a horse or reindeer-drawn sleigh, or enjoy winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking, snowmobiling, skating, ice fishing, kick sledging, rapid swimming, and husky safaris...
