Travelling with Kids
50 Degrees North is a family run business that specialises in the region north of the 50th parallel. We are parents ourselves, and have travelled extensively through this northern region with our own children. The region is safe and well organised, and the perfect holiday destination for kids of most ages. Scandinavia, in particular, is a family friendly destination, and despite the myth, can be reasonably cost friendly as well if you put your mind to it.
The main focus at 50 Degrees North when it comes to travelling with kids is 'one size does not fit all', thus, we promote tailor made itineraries to be the most suitable. Scandinavia is scattered with family parks, opportunities for wildlife viewing, a well organised network of walking tracks & huts and camp groups (huts or tents) in remote beautiful locations. Looking east, from personal experience we have found Mongolia to be a perfect 'travelling with kids' destination; staying in well catered Ger camps on the steppe, riding horses and getting the kids away from the TV and out into the wilderness. And most importantly, the destinations described offer something for both adult and kids, combined in a very nice way.
