Discover the real Finnish Lapland on this new Christmas tour to Posio, between Rovaniemi and Kuusamo. Stay in beautiful, new designer igloos surrounded by forests and wandering reindeers. Situated close to the beautiful lake Livo, this holiday offers a total arctic experience starting with the uniquely designed aurora cabins and includes the full experience adventures with reindeers, huskies, snowmobiles, Santa and plenty more. It is an authentic experience, away from the crowds with access to large open Northern skies with no electric lighting.

The CO2-e per person per day of all tours is carefully measured following each season. We fully offset all emissions of our tours on your behalf, and we constantly look at ways to reduce emissions where possible.
Transfers to Livo and local transport by the resort. Transfers are shared if guests are arriving at same flights. This location is very remote with no shops close by.
Fly to Rovaniemi, Oulu or Kuusamo and transfer to Livo Arctic Aurora Resort (approx. 60 - 90 mins depending on weather). Upon arrival you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Near your aurora cabins, there are hills for sledding to keep everyone entertained before dinner.
The cabin accommodates 2 adults + 2 children. It is tastefully furnished, spacious (50m2+), has a small kitchenette, coffee machine, kettle, TV, double bed and a sofa bed.
Dinner is in a rustic local restaurant 350 metres away so depending on the weather, you can walk or transfer by car.
After breakfast, visit the reindeer farm which includes a short reindeer ride as well as feeding the reindeer. You will learn about reindeer husbandry and their role in the nature of Lapland.
Any evening, you can book an optional sauna and smoke sauna with the possibility for ice swimming by the restaurant/reindeer farm. You can also linger longer at the restaurant with drinks at the bar.
The Riisitunturi husky experience starts with bus transport (45 minutes) to a local husky farm, where you will experience a husky safari. After the safari, have an opportunity to take a closer look to the home of the huskies and visit a Lappish teepee. The whole experience takes place in the majestic views Riisitunturi fell.
Any evening, you can book an optional sauna and smoke sauna with the possibility for ice swimming by the restaurant/reindeer farm. You can also linger longer at the restaurant with drinks at the bar.
Today, you will be taught to drive your very own snowmobile – either alone or with a pair. Go exploring on a safari driving around the beautiful snowy forests of Posio and finish with some time around an open fire for a shared meal. In the evening, experience the magic of ice floating on a tranquil lake beneath the starry skies, with the chance to witness the breathtaking Northern Lights if conditions are right. Relax on the icy waters in the warm floating suit, and take in the beauty of the stars for a truly memorable experience.
