Christmas Small Group Tours
A Lapland Christmas is more than a single meeting with Santa, and our small group Christmas tours are built around the whole of it. The private visit to Santa's forest cabin is the high point of the week, and the days around it are shaped with the same care.
You have a cabin of your own, with a fire to light and a sauna to warm up in, and the space for your family to keep its own rhythm. You settle into one snow-covered village for the week and come to know it a little, the walk to the café, the light on the fells, the shop where you buy breakfast. A 50 Degrees North tour leader is with the group throughout, working alongside local guides, so the logistics are taken care of and your free afternoons are your own.
The visit to Santa is private to each family, reached by sleigh through the quiet forest, in country with skies dark enough for a real chance of the Northern Lights. All of it is designed by Nordic locals who travel with their own children, with handpicked local suppliers, so a family can slow down and simply enjoy being there.
There are other ways to spend the season in the north, too: independent Christmas packages for families who like to travel at their own pace, pre-Christmas trips with Santa, and post-Christmas and New Year journeys.
However you choose to spend it, the aim is the same: a Christmas your family can slow down into, and carry home for years. Our Nordic specialists know these trips well and are glad to help you find the right one.
