    Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Kittilä and transfer to your glass igloo accommodation

Transfer from Kittilä airport to your glass igloo via the warm clothing and boots pick up spot. Check in is from 4pm and once this is completed, settle into your glass igloo. Each glass igloo has a kitchenette, shower and toilet. The windows are insulated and electrically heated to keep them from frosting. The kitchenette is equipped with a breakfast set for two, electric stove, microwave and kettle, toaster and fridge. In addition, the igloos have a radio/CD player, a hair dryer and a socket for car engine heaters. At the centre of the igloo is a motorised double bed that can be converted into twin beds.

Day 2 - Husky Safari and Meet the reindeers

A must-do in Finland, this husky safari offers breathtaking views of the snow-covered landscape of Finnish Lapland and fills you with the invigorating power of adrenaline. Upon arrival at the husky farm, you'll be introduced to your very own husky team. After a lesson on how to drive the sledge and understand important hand signals from your leader, you'll be ready to embark on your adventure.

Each team consists of about six dogs, you as the driver, and a passenger comfortably seated in the wooden sledge. During the safari, the driver and passenger can switch places to share the experience. You will also have the opportunity to visit the huskies in their fenced area, where you can see their "homes" and learn more about these amazing animals.

After lunch you will meet the friendly reindeers. Experience the silence of nature in a noiseless reindeer sleigh. Forget your hurries, just relax, observe surrounding forest and enjoy. During the programme you can also feed the reindeer with lichen and take photos. The guide will also tell you how to handle and treat the reindeer and you can try to catch wooden reindeer with Lappish lasso.

Dinner will be served at Levi Igloos.

    Important Information

The superior igloos can fit one child, or two children with a squeeze! The children's bed is a 3-seated sofa-bed with additional mattress and linen placed on top. Activities detailed in this itinerary suit children above the age of 8.

Please let us know the height of your child as this determines if they can sit on snowmobile with the parent, since it is much more enjoyable than the sledge. Minimum height for this is 140cm.
