Malangen
Malangen Resort is in the heart of Northern Norway is surrounded by nature and mountains.
Mala means border in Norse and, ever since the 13th century, Malangen has been a border fjord between the agricultural community and the indigenous Sami people. Malangen can also be described as a melting pot because it’s a meeting point for three cultures: the Sami, Norwegians and Kvens (people of Finnish descent).
Malangen Resort is in the heart of Northern Norway, surrounded by pristine nature and beautiful mountains. In summer you can enjoy water sports activities and the Midnight Sun, while in winter you can experience the Northern Lights and take part in winter activities such as dog sledding and visiting our Northern Lights Camp. You can also relax in our Arctic Spa or enjoy a delicious dinner at our Marmælen Restaurant.
You can choose between a range of accommodation options. The specious cabins sleep up to six guests and feature a living room, kitchen, bathroom and separate bedrooms. The hotel rooms in the main building have all modern facilities and fantastic views of the fjord and mountains.
Malangen Resort is proud to offer its guests an authentic north Norwegian dining experience. At the inhouse restaurant, Marmælen Restaurant, you can enjoy fresh and local produce prepared to perfection by skilled chefs.
