Heritage Taste Fjord tour
Join an optional tour and head out through the world heritage Aurlandsfjord and further into the stunning Nærøyfjord. Our turning point is at Bakka stray, where we also see into Gudvangen the end of the fjord. This is the narrowest part of the fjord. We return on the other side of the fjord and will have a different view!
Along the way we make stops at attractions and spot for seals, porpoises and eagles.
The guide will tell you about the fjord, local history and the wildlife; and share with you stories, tales and legends, from various places of interest.
We go ashore in Undredal, a little village squeezed in between tall mountains.
Undredal is inhabited by 85 people and almost 500 goats. To no surprise the specialty of this village is the production of goat cheese, and you will get to taste it, brown and white! You will also hear about the tradition of cheese production, and you may listen to folktales and folksongs.
