Kalvåg
Kalvåg - one of Fjord Norway's best preserved fishing villages
Kalvåg is a village in Bremanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the southeast side of the island of Frøya on the coast along the Frøysjøen strait, the southern entrance to the Nordfjorden. It has retained its charm as a fishing village with a harbour full of boats and fishing set ups.
Known as the best preserved fishing town in the fjord region of Norway, you will be delighted to spend some time here. You can rent a hot tub or sauna on the water's edge and wander around looking and talking to local fishermen. It is a very small town though so don't expect too much in regards to cafes and restaurants.
