Walaker Hotel
Right beside the fjord in the idyllic village of Solvorn in Luster lies Walaker Hotel. The hotel, which has been inherited from generation to generation, is a charming family hotel and an attraction in itself, located in the middle of the world`s best tourist destination, according to National Geographic.
The atmosphere of the garden is an important part of the evocative environment of Walaker Hotel. White bryony climbs the walls and in the garden stand lilacs and fruit trees in full blossom. Surrounded by mighty mountains and with a view over the fabled Sognefjord, this is a place to really find peace.
Most of the building dates from about 1630-1650, when it was a coaching inn and guest house. The building that stands today is as it was in 1934. The architect Lindstrøm designed the building. There are 4 rooms on the upper floor with a fjord view, while 3 rooms have a view upwards to the valley. Rooms 20 and 23 are our biggest and best, with the most fantastic view of the rose garden and fjord. All the rooms are historical.
