Day 4 - Meet the reindeers of Salla before evening Northern Lights excursion by snowshoes

Drive your own reindeer through a snowy forest on this unforgettable Lapland experience. After a short lesson, you’ll guide your reindeer sleigh behind a local guide, gliding peacefully through the winter landscape. Children will be seated with a parent in the same sleigh. Along the way, you’ll stop to feed the reindeer, snap some photos (perfect for your next Christmas card!), and enjoy hot drinks, sausages and buns in a cozy Lappish hut.

In the evening, strap on snowshoes and head into the quiet forest to search for the Northern Lights. Despite the polar night, the forest retains a subtle illumination, allowing for an adjustment to the darkness and offering glimpses of the enchanting snowy landscape illuminated by stars, the moon, and occasionally the Northern Lights. Guides adept at navigating the dark forest will lead you to pristine, secluded spots ideal for witnessing the magic of the Northern Lights.

Each sleigh is shared by two people — one driving, one riding as a passenger. Midway through the safari, you’ll switch places so both of you get the chance to drive your own husky team (please note: drivers must be 18 or older).

Feel the excitement as your huskies lead you through breathtaking Arctic landscapes. During the journey, you’ll pause to warm up by an open fire, sip hot drinks, enjoy sweet buns, and even grill a traditional sausage — the perfect way to recharge in the heart of nature.
