Luxury & Bespoke
Luxury in the Nordics is not about extravagance. It is found where few people go, in moments that cannot be repeated: a private sauna above a frozen lake, a chef cooking with what was gathered that morning, the Northern Lights from a secluded glass-roofed cabin. Here, luxury is measured in access, authenticity, comfort and time.
Every destination can be booked. The best experiences have to be designed. Since 2010, we have worked only in the Nordic region and the Baltics, building the local relationships that open distinctive stays, outstanding guides and genuine encounters rarely available through standard channels. Many luxury journeys offer comfort. We think the best offer meaning, and that sits at the heart of every itinerary we design.
Each journey is shaped around the individual: their interests, pace and priorities, whether the focus is adventure, gastronomy, wellness, culture or family. These are set itineraries, adjusted to suit each client, drawing on close to two decades of local knowledge across Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Svalbard and the Baltic States.
Accommodation is chosen for character and location as much as service: award-winning design hotels, remote cabins, boutique hideaways and architectural retreats beside the fjords, each one belonging to its landscape rather than imposing on it. Travel with confidence
From the first enquiry to the journey home, every detail is managed with care. Travellers and advisors who work with us rely on carefully vetted local partners, well-run logistics, access to experiences few can arrange, and 24-hour on-the-ground emergency support.
Sustainable luxury
True luxury should leave a positive impact. As a Certified B Corporation, we design journeys that support local communities, ease pressure on busy places, favour lower-emission travel such as rail, and reinvest a share of our annual profits into regional initiatives. Sustainable luxury is not an add-on. It is simply a better way to travel.
The most memorable journeys are not defined by how much is included, but by how they make you feel. To begin designing one, write to nordic@fiftydegreesnorth.com.

Advisor testimonials
Lillian Hocevar, Founder of Hilltop Travel Co:
Working with 50 Degrees North was nothing short of exceptional. My clients traveled through Scandinavia for over three weeks, and the 50 Degrees North team created a bespoke itinerary through Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark that left them in awe.
I have been working with this couple for five years, and local, authentic, high-attention-to-detail experiences are of the utmost importance to them. 50 Degrees North presented an itinerary quickly and it required very few edits. They thoughtfully reviewed the clients' preferences and went as far as arranging a private anniversary boat trip through the fjords filled with special surprises.
I truly appreciated the collaboration and partnership with 50 Degrees North. Their expertise was invaluable in guiding me to advise my clients on what was a logistically complex trip.
I look forward to working with you all again soon!
Mark Hoyer, Travel Experts:
I had four couples plan a trip to Scandinavia, and I planned it all with 50 Degrees North. My go-to person was Monica in the Vancouver office. The trip was planned for June 17-27, 2026, so they would experience Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Bergen.
Just as the tour was about to complete, one of my clients had an emergency situation that required her to be checked into a local hospital in Bergen for observation, and a medical procedure had to be done on the following Monday. By the time her husband contacted me about what was going on, the 50 Degrees North team had already contacted the hotel to extend the dates on two rooms, for my clients and for her sister and brother-in-law, who decided to stay longer as well for moral support.
The 50 Degrees North team and their after-hours team were more than helpful, getting everything arranged without any problem. My client had the procedure done on June 29 and was discharged from the hospital in time to fly home to the States on July 1.
I felt this particular DMC went above and beyond the call of duty to help my client, and her husband was very happy to have such support from a tour operator in a foreign country. I would not hesitate to use 50 Degrees North in the future and highly recommend them.
