Employment
50 Degrees North is a specialist Nordic travel company, and regional specialism is a deliberate choice. We go deep rather than broad because that's how genuine expertise is built, and genuine expertise is what our clients depend on.
Our team is the reason this works. We look for people with real knowledge of the region, a curiosity that goes beyond the brochure, and a standard of care that clients notice. If that describes you, we'd like to hear from you.
50 Degrees North is an equal opportunity employer. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of colour, race, religion, nationality, sex, gender identity or expression, disability, age or national origin.

Our values
Every role at 50 Degrees North is shaped by four values:
- Authentic: you bring genuine knowledge, honest opinions, and consistency to your work, with colleagues and clients alike.
- Trusting: you take ownership of your work and your decisions. In return, we offer flexibility, responsibility, and room to grow.
- Inspiring: you contribute something that raises the standard around you, whether that's an idea, a conversation, or simply how you approach the work.
- Innovative: you question how things are done and look for better ways, because standing still isn't something we do well.
These values shape how we design travel as much as how we work. You can read more about our approach on our tour standards page and in our responsible travel page.
Working at 50 Degrees North
We are a growing international team with offices in Øyer (Norway), Melbourne (Australia), North Vancouver (Canada), and Minneapolis (USA). Since we were founded in 2010, one question has shaped how we work: how do you build a company that genuinely reflects the values it sells?
We offer four weeks of paid leave globally and guaranteed parental leave. We support professional development with financial assistance and a preference for promoting from within. Flexibility is part of how we work, across time zones and between offices.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and people of all ethnicities, races, and religions.
As a Certified B Corporation, responsible business practice is central to how we operate, not just how we market ourselves.
Open applications
We welcome open applications from experienced sales and customer service professionals with genuine knowledge of, or interest in, the Nordic region. Please note that full working rights in the relevant country are required for all positions.
To send an open application, please email your cover letter and resume to careers@fiftydegreesnorth.com. We will ask for references after your first interview.
Important: All communication regarding job applications is conducted via our official email only. We do not communicate via phone, WhatsApp, or any other messaging platforms. If you are contacted by someone claiming to represent 50 Degrees North through these channels, it is not legitimate.
