Aurora Domes: Glamping under the Northern Lights in Finnish Lapland

Options for sleeping under the Northern Lights has never been more exciting. Experience glamping in Aurora domes.

There are so many options for a great winter experience with a stay at the ‘Aurora Domes', providing a chill-free view of Northern Finland's spectacular Northern Lights.

This type of Aurora Glamping is located by the lake Torassieppi in Muonio, high above the Arctic Circle, and you can stay in one of the domes on our Northern Lights in Finland tour.

The Aurora Dome is a round igloo-shaped tent with husky and reindeer themed decoration and one transparent wall. The Domes are completely insulated and a fireplace with an open fire gives out both warmth and comforting ambiance.
The transparent walls of the Dome are facing north to insure the best possible view of the starlit sky and the ever elusive northern lights over the frozen lake. The Domes have beds for two but can also accommodate two extra beds. Don't drink too many hot chocolates before bed though: the toilet, shower and sauna are within easy walking distance, outside!
This area of Finland is affected by only very limited light pollution and has an impressive Aurora Borealis-viewing record – although sightings can never be guaranteed.
