Enjoy a historical walk of Honningsvåg.
Join a guided tour of the historic little church in Honningsvåg which was built in 1885 - and is one of the few buildings in Finnmark that survived World War II. The church has two beautiful custom-made crystal candlesticks, which were a gift from King Olav V.
The tour continues to Perleporten Kulturhus, located in the former chapel in the village. The building is centrally located and has a breathtaking view of the harbour. After many years without maintenance, Perleporten Kulturhus was completely renovated and reopened in 2012 - and has become a cultural venue with a café with a warm and intimate atmosphere. Here you will see the play "Our Northernmost Life", which will be performed over 40 minutes in English. Be entertained by a group of young local artists who deliver monologues, dialogues, songs, pictures, and sketches depicting the colorful history of a life on a deserted, windy island with the North Pole as its nearest neighbor. The premiere was in summer 2013, and the play has received excellent reviews.
