    Days 1 - 4 - Moominworld - Finland

For over 20 years, Finns and Moomin fans from all over the world have come to Finland to visit the spiritual home of Tove Jansson’s creation, the Moomin Troll. Originally published in Swedish, the Moomin are a family of trolls with large snouts, living in the forests of Finland. Kids all over Nordic countries read of the Moomin growing up and it has a cult following all around the world. Moomin world, located on island of Kailo, not far from the city of Turku in Finland, is a fantastic destination for a family with kids from very young to early teenagers. It’s a beautiful part of Finland and there are lots of other activities near by, such as the adventure island of Väski. Moominworld is open from mid June to mid August.

Day 1: Pick up your car in Helsinki and drive to Turku (approx 170km, 3-4 hour drive including breaks). Check into your hotel in Turku, the oldest city in Finland. Make sure you go for a walk around this picturesque and historic town.

Day 3: Consider visiting the adventure island of Väski or MCC action park for some slope racing, the Finns know their rally so what better place to learn...

    Days 5 - 8 - Astrid Lindgren World, Sweden

Probably the best known fictional character from Sweden would be Pippi Longstocking, dreamt up by one of Sweden’s national treasures, Astrid Lindgren. Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby, Småland pays tribute to all the characters that Scandinavian kids grow up with, such as the Brothers Lionheart, Ronja the robbers daughter, Emil, Karlsson on the roof and, of course, Pippi. This is a truly beautiful experience with so much to see and do.
The fact that it is located in one of the most picturesque areas of Sweden, certainly doesn’t hurt.

Day 1: Vimmerby is almost half way between Gothenburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Depending on which city you come from, you would pick up your car today and spend a leisurely day driving, with plenty of breaks to enjoy the countryside.

Day 2: Enjoy Astrid Lindgren World for the whole day. Meet the characters, explore the park and boost your energy levels with some great local food for kids and adults.

Day 3: Depending on your schedule, go for a wander along Vimmerby. Dating back to the 14th century, the narrow streets and wooden buildings are a sight to see. You can continue getting to know Astrid Lindgren and visit some of the sights used in the many movies and tv series from her books.

    Day 4: Depart Vimmerby.

Please note that Astrid Lindgren World has a variety of summer opening hours.

    Days 9 - 11 - Legoland, Denmark

Few of us have not encountered the Danish invention of Lego in some shape or form during our childhood. And if you had to pick one Legoland park, then the Danish one at Billund would be the one not to miss. For those of us that spent our weekends and holidays building Lego as children, a Lego theme park is a dream come true - it's hard to say who will have more fun here, the kids or the parents.
These days, the board games, computer games, clubs and exhibitions all contribute to making Lego bigger better and even more fun. This is another one the kids will thank you for.

Day 1: Pick up your rental car in Copenhagen (it is also possible to fly to Billund)

Day 2: Spend all day at Legoland in Billund.

    Day 3: Depart Billund

Drive back to Copenhagen or continue your holiday in Denmark. Note, there are 2 day tours of the Lego factory in Billund published every year. They are extremely popular and only published on Lego.com. They book out very quickly but if you are lucky enough to secure the inside tour, rest assure we can help you with your other arrangements.
